New Arrival

2010 G.D. Vajra "Albe" Barolo, Italy

$43.99/bottle or $439.90/case of 12

This wine just arrived in the shop and we want want to shout about it from a mountaintop. "Albe", meaning sunrise in Italian, is sourced from three vineyards, each with slightly different elevations and exposures- thus creating a beautiful symphony for the senses. A gorgously floral bouquet- roses and violets wrapped in a warm blanket of incense, subtly wafts from the glass. The palate is flush with sweet dark cherries, tobacco, licorice, and just enough structure to stand up to some earthy seasonal favorites. A heartthrob now, "Albe" will gain even more complexity with a few years in cellar. This is some truly irresistable stuff.
