Zinfandel is considered California's red wine grape because it is not widely grown in other parts of the world. Zinfandel can produce wines ranging from light, nouveau styles to hearty, robust reds with berry like, spicy flavors and plenty of tannins. Petite Sirah produces a deep colored, robust and peppery wine that packs plenty of tannins and has a good aging ability. Malbec, a specialty of Argentina, is a robust and smoky red perfect for grilled meats. |
